WHY ARE BUSINESSES FAILING IN NIGERIA? A LOOK AT ARIK AIR AND ETISALAT



The sole reason why businesses fail in Nigeria is lack of leadership. Business leaders in Nigeria are sometimes incompetent, not tested and therefore not trusted.
Many people rise to positions in the business world not because of merit and hard work but because of connections. There is  the problem of lack of integrity where board members share the company's profit amongst themselves instead of channeling it to further grow the business. There is also another problem of taking huge loans from banks without a well thought out process of how to pay back or even completely mismanaging the funds.
Arik air is owing large sums of money and so is Etisalat...
A lot of employees depend on these businesses for their livelihood. Why don't they think of the impact on the economy before allowing greed and selfishness take over. This is really disheartening.

My heart bleeds as I write this. I'm literally weeping as I pen this down but I know that there is hope. The existence of God tells me so. THE FIGHT AGAINST CORRUPTION IN THIS GOVERNMENT: REAL OR SELECTIVE

President Muhammadu Buhari's selling point coming into the 2015 general elections was his would-be fight against corruption which many Nigerians said was Nigeria's biggest problem and which the international community also said was Nigeria's bane of development. His reelection in 2019 also echoed the same thing although many Nigerians were of course saying they had seen his true colours. A beautiful movie showing us the love of God and His ever standing faithfulness to His children. Elizabeth and Tony Jordan were two  successful people who were religious but hadn't known what it was like for God to minister unto them. They had a big house, nice jobs, with Tony as a pharmaceutical salesman and Elizabeth as a realtor. They  had a daughter called Danielle. Despite the wealthy lifestyle, Tony was cold towards his family. He refused to give money to his wife's sister and was verbally abusive towards her.
