Recently Lagos State decriminalized bigamy making it no longer a crime to be married to more than one wife at the same time. A law most people were not even aware existed. The directive came from the office of the then state Governor.
I am concerned because our leaders are no longer interested in enacting laws that would maintain moral equilibrium in society and uphold the sanctity of marriage.
Recently a group of House of Reps members had their visas canceled for soliciting for the services of prostitutes while on official assignment in the United States.
And these are people elected to pass laws binding on an entire country.
If our leaders don't fear God, how can they pass laws that would preserve morals and values in society?
That's why corruption still thrives amongst us.
For ethical reasons and the sake of discipline, let us elect leaders who believe in sound morals. If there are no morals, there would be no justice then imagine how society would be.

We must strive to promote good virtues such as honesty and integrity in leadership.
