I have never supported a Nigerian politician because he is from my tribe. I have been proud of Technocrats from my state yes but not politicians. The reason is because it is a thing of joy and honour to know that where you come from is recognized for good. But on the larger scale i am proud of Nigeria as a whole. I am proud to be a Nigerian anytime Nigeria is mentioned outside this country for good.
Nigeria is largely a homogenous society and its people still lay a claim to their heritage oftentimes they are able to trace their ancestors to the fourth and fifth generations.

Where i have a problem is when people blindly support their tribesmen whether he is in the right or the wrong. When people refuse to work together because a particular person is not from their tribe. When people are blind to reason and are ready to shed blood because they support someone from their tribe.
Nigeria belongs to all of us, let us set aside all tribal sentiments and work for the greater good of our country. Respect our heritage and understand that our difference is our strength. We are richer because of our diversity.
On point my dear, more grace always on point
