JUST WRIGHT

"A guy's best friend". Yep that's who you are, Morgan said".
"I want to fall in love and know what it's like to be treasured by a man".
Leslie Wright, a straight shooting physical therapist is a lover of basketball game and rarely makes it pass friendship in her relationship with guys.

She and her God sister, Morgan live with her parents in new Jersey and she is fond of the Nets basketball team.
Morgan is a ruthless heartbreaking beauty who uses female techniques to get what she wants. And does she aim well!
Leslie loves falling in love. Hardly ever had she been in a long lasting relationship that didn't result in a nick name- dude!.
All this she endured, untill she met Scott. A nets basketball player.

Scott, a fine young man who took an instant liking to Leslie until he met Morgan. How devastating it was for Leslie to find out that her God sister and her crush were dating, engaged to be married. Morgan didn't care about Leslie's feelings, she burrowed into his wealth, made headlines and was a favorite for all the paparazzi coming for the couple.
It took all the ounce of one physical therapist, Leslie Wright, to hear her heart broken down.  She went back to the simple girl she had become.
Scott basked in the affection of Morgan till a fatal fall at the games made him home ridden and no team wanted him.

Morgan didn't like it one bit. She went shopping while he got depressed about his health. She left him and couldn't stand not being able to afford diamonds and riches.
Leslie was more than delighted to be  his physical therapist. He disliked Morgan and didn't trust Leslie anymore than he could because he thought that he was her target also.
But Leslie proved him wrong. In no time, his leg was healed, Scott was amazed at how sweet she was and he began falling in love with her. She loved him right back.
Like a wind carrying a foul stench, her God sister, Morgan had gotten news of his return to the games and  demanded he marry her, amidst weak tears.

This infuriated Leslie and she got out of his way and out of his life and went on to be a successful therapist for injured basketball players. She had become famous since managing Scott.

Scott was skeptical about it. Morgan and her eagerness to be wed. Why now? Where had she come out of, after his leg had been healed? Why wasn't she there when he was weak?
He realized he had made a mistake, instructing Morgan not to be in his way, he was on a quest to  find his love, the one who had been there for him, the one who was just Wright.
Successfully, he did!

Moral:love is a beautiful thing. Riches and wealth don't hold a glow to what the rays of love can do. If one is willing to forfeit the riches then you got gold which  no one can purchase..   Love.
Good day.

THE SILENCE OF OMISSION

Silence means consent, a certain school of thought holds. That means if you fail to speak up against anything wrong, you can be charged with supporting the wrong you failed to speak up about.

The End SARS Protests

I have been quiet since the end sars movement started. Not because I didn’t want to speak but because I was hoping for it to culminate into something tangible and bring about the positive change that a lot of Nigerians desired. I remember having a conversation about it with someone and I prayed that it would not spiral out of control. I wanted a positive change but I wasn’t prepared for the cost of laying down lives because I sensed that it was going to get to that should the protesters expand their agitation to good governance. The powers that be would not surrender without a fight and they have the resources of the government on their side. They would claim that the protesters wanted to topple a “democratically elected” president. And that would make it illegal. And what is democratic about a president who has refused to listen to the cries of the people? In their short memory however, they have forgotten that this same president came into power for the first time in 1985 after a coup...
