JUNG'S THEORY OF INTROVERSION AND EXTROVERSION.

Jung began with a development on a personality typology that distinguished Introversion from Extroversion.  Introverts were people who preferred their internal world of thoughts, feelings, fantasies and dreams, while the extroverts preferred the outdoors and people.
In that sense, the introverts are somewhat more mature than the extroverts. Culture values extroverts but Jung warned that we value our own type the most!

Functions

Jung suggested that there are four basic ways to deal with the inner and outer world.
The first is Sensing: It means getting information via senses. Jung called this one the irrational function because it involves getting to know the world through looking and listening rather than judgement of information.

The second is Thinking : Jung called this a rational function. To think means to evaluate ideas rationally. It involves decision making rather than a simple intake of information.
The third is Intuition : Jung  called it 'seeing around corners'.  It is irrational like Sensing but comes from an integration of large amounts of information and not merely the act of seeing and hearing the world.

The fourth is Feeling : this is the evaluation of one's overall emotional response. It gets irrational when lack of reasoning is present.

Classifications of personality
*Extroverted intuition with feelings : these people love surprises. They tend to be hyper alert, feel self conscious  and are good at advertising and acting.

*Extroverted feeling with sensing : they like harmony. They tend to give strong should and should not to people. They are dependent people.

*Extroverted sensing with thinking : these people are sophisticated, action oriented and sometimes ruthless. They are charming con artists with commitment issues.

*Introverted intuition with feelings: they are private and easily hurt. They make good therapist. People also think they are psychic.

*Introverted feeling with sensing : they are shy, retiring but likes art and nature. They are not too tuned with commitment.

*Introverted sensing with thinking : they are dependable pillars of strength. They make good banker, supervisor and are fond of reforming their mates.

By learning more about other individuals, we can enjoy companies,  and relationships would become understandable without getting yourself hurt for a lack of knowledge.
Happy weekend to all

THE GAINS AND LOSSES OF THE ABSENCE OF MR PRESIDENT: BY UWAKWE ROLAND.

President Muhammadu Buhari has been absent from duty since the last few months on a purported medical checkup in London. Good a thing he legally transferred power to the Vice President who is now the acting President, this is unlike the imbroglio that played out during Yar’adua’s time when the National Assembly had to invoke the doctrine of necessity so as to effectively transfer power to then Vice President Goodluck Jonathan. The problem is that even as an acting President, Yemi Osinbanjo has limited powers to fully assume responsibility as the commander in chief, this is because most of the big government functionaries may still owe their loyalty to Mr President, couple with this, Buhari appointed people of his like minds who may not comfortably work with the acting President that will want to bring his knowledge of law and practice into governance. Hence the long absence of Mr President may eventually result to a slow down of democratic dividends. The above ...

GETTING MARRIED AND BEING SUCCESSFUL AFTER 30

Many people see the big 3.0 as a landmark age. To them at 30 you should have accomplished all your goals, gotten married and had a few kids. This view although popular is sometimes unhealthy , because real success and achievements take time. Not everyone who is unmarried at 30 will marry late or unaccomplished at 30 is a failure. For short term goals and minimal achievements, 30 is fine. I even read about someone bragging on how she had a masters degree and was married with two kids at 30. The question no one asked her was 'what had she done with the masters degree and how her children were faring academically? ' It's not enough to get married and have kids before 30 or even finish a masters degree? Is she fulfilled as a person? Had she discovered purpose and was she on her way to fulfilling it? You see we all want to brag when it seems as if we better than the next person. Alas! Many of us are ignorant. Many Nigerian billionaires became billionaires only after 30, many ...
